The Institute of Chartered Accountants – Ghana invites applications from interested and qualified persons to be appointed as Examiners to mark scripts for its examinations.
1. Examinations
The Institute organizes
(a) The Accounting Technicians Scheme West Africa (ATSWA) examinations in March and September.
(b) The Professional Accountants qualifying examinations in May and November.
2. Subject Areas
Examiners are required for the following subject areas
(i) Financial Accounting Fundamentals
(ii) Economics
(iii) Business Management
(iv) Quantitative Tools in Management
(v) Audit and Internal Review
(vi) Principles and Practice of Taxation
(vii) Financial Reporting
(viii) Cost and Management Accounting
(ix) Financial Management
(x) Public Sector Accounting
3. Qualification and Experience
Applicants must have any of the following qualifications
(i) A professional qualification in Accountancy, Law or other relevant area
(ii) A Master’s Degree or higher qualification in the relevant area
(iii) A marking experience in a related area will be an added advantage.
Applicants must be able to meet strict deadlines and computer literate. The integrity of applicants must be above reproach.
4. Terms of Appointment
(i) Applicants shall be appointed on temporary basis.
(ii) They shall be invited for marking and other related services for periods not exceeding one week at a time.
(iii) Marking shall be strictly on residential basis in third week of May and November. Applicants who shall not be available during such periods need not apply.
(iv) Remuneration shall be stated in the letters issued to examiners for each marking session.
