WORKSHOP ON ENHANCING PERFORMANCE OF BUSINESS THROUGH EFFECTIVE BUSINESS RISK MANAGEMENT
As part of its efforts at capacity building in pursuit of its responsibility in providing the relevant forum to enable Chief Executives, Accountants, Auditors, Directors, General Managers, Marketing Managers Administrators and Students share experiences and thereby sharpen their skills, The Institute of Chartered Accountants’ Ghana is organising a two-day programme on the theme:
"ENHANCING PERFORMANCE OF BUSINESS THROUGH EFFECTNE BUSINESS RISK MANAGEMENT"
The Objectives of the workshop are to:
- Understand the concept of risk
- Distinguish risk management from corporate governance
- Expose participants to risk confronting businesses in Ghana
- Equip participants with skills to conduct risk assessment and develop mitigation plans for identified risks
- Appreciate the role of effective internal controls in managing business risks

- Overview of risk and management in businesses
- Distinction between risks and opportunities
- Impact of risks on growth and survival of businesses
- Approaches to managing business risk
- Conducting risk assessment and developing mitigation plans
- The role of effective internal controls in business risk management
- Corporate Governance and risk management
- Responsibility for managing risk a business
- Setting up a risk managing committee, composition, functions and challenges of the committee.
